Course FlyerLooking for a degree in Community Development?

If you have 5 or more years experience in the voluntary and community sector, you could gain direct entry to the 2nd year of the part-time BSc in Community Development at the University of Ulster.

As a first step, the University is offering experienced community sector practitioners and activists the opportunity to enrol on a week long intensive course entitled Accreditation for Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) at Jordanstown from 22 to 26 May 2006.

The course provides you with:

  • the opportunity to convert community experience into University credits
  • guidance on building a portfolio of experience based learning
  • the prospect of direct entry into the second year of the degree programme in September 2006 through successful completion of the course and submission of a portfolio.
