It gives us great pleasure to invite you and a guest to the University of Ulster to attend our forthcoming Human Rights Seminar. The seminar will examine the fundamental role of Human Rights and the Media in tackling the stigma and spread of HIV/AIDS.

Venue: Lecture Theatre 9F03, University of Ulster, Jordanstown
We are privileged to have an experienced and diverse range of speakers such as Chief Commissioner Monica McWilliams of the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission and Anne Marlborough Head of Advocacy with Concern Worldwide. BBC Journalist Wendy Austin will chair this event. Please find enclosed a brief biography of the contributing speakers. You will have an opportunity to engage with speakers through a question and answer session.
The Human Rights Seminar is part of a broad outreach and education programme to support the internationally acclaimed Positive Lives Exhibition, which will be shown for the first time in Northern Ireland at the University of Ulster, Jordanstown campus from 26 January to 8 February 2006.
Positive Lives is a unique international project that uses photography to document the social and emotional impact of the global HIV/AIDS epidemic, by portraying the lives and stories of men, women and children who are affected by the disease. Further information on the exhibition is available at:
The seminar will be followed by light refreshments and a tour of the Positive Lives Exhibition.
