It's All About Time gives a comprehensive insight into volunteering in Northern Ireland in 2007. It describes the numbers of people volunteering, what they are doing and their experience as a volunteer.
It also provides detailed information from organisations that involve volunteers as to their experiences and practice. The report was comissioned by the Volunteer Development Agency on behalf of the Voluntary and Community Unit (VCU) within the Department for Social Development, which funded the work and it will inform the development of a Volunteering Strategy for Northern Ireland being led by the VCU.
This information session will provide an overview of findings from the report and the issues it raises for volunteer involving organisations. It will give an opportunity to reflect on the findings in relation to current volunteering practice.
