Donal Macintyre, a well known investigative journalist with a particular interest and commitment to vulnerable adults, will provide the keynote address at this event with other speakers coming from health and social services, the PSNI, and the voluntary and community sector.

The speakers will be followed by a number of targeted workshops designed to examine the complexity and range of the topic. Delegates will have the opportunity to attend two of these workshops:

  • Multi agency risk assessment centre.
  • Hate crimes.
  • Family group conferencing.
  • Professional decision-making.
  • Elder abuse.
  • Domestic violence.
  • Perceptions of adult protection procedures - policy and practice.
  • Future legislative provisions.
  • Victim support.
  • Achieving best evidence – a Social Services and PSNI perspective.
