Organisations are increasingly required to build in outcome monitoring and evaluation systems, which place importance on identifying and measuring the benefits gained from project activities. This one day course is targeted at those who are required to monitor outcomes on an on-going basis.

Course objectives:

• To increase participants’ awareness of outcomes and their importance within the current funding environment
• To increase understanding of the benefits as well as some of the challenges with evaluating outcomes
• To enable participants to identify outcomes within their work and consider measurement issues including quantitative and qualitative indicators
• To enable participants to identify appropriate data collection tools for capturing outcomes including baseline information
• To raise awareness of the process of analysing, interpreting and using information
• To encourage good practice in the evaluation of outcomes

The course will use structured input, discussion, case studies and worked examples to guide participants through the process of developing an outcomes framework for their project.Participants on this course can receive an ILM (Institute of Leadership & Management) Development Award for an additional charge of £45.
