Community Arts Forum invites you to a seminar entitled
City centre parades – shared celebration or cultural correctness?
on 26 February 2007 at 12.30 pm in Northern Visions Studio
The discussion will explore changes in the management of Belfast’s St. Patrick’s Day parade over the past few years and the result of those changes. Is the parade now an inclusive event which all the city’s citizens can enjoy or a parade which has tried so hard to be all things to all people that it has lost meaning?
The event is chaired by Dominic Bryan, Queen’s University and the panel will feature David Boyd, Beat Initiative; Conor Maskey, Intercomm; Sean Paul O’Hare, FĂ©ile an Phobail and a representative from Belfast City Council (to be confirmed).
For further information or to book a place please contact Heather Floyd or Niamh Flanaghan on 028 9024 2910; email: hfloyd@caf.ie
Please note that lunch will be provided and the event will be filmed for Northern Visions Television.
