This workshop will outline current information relating to the education of looked after children and will provide professionals and carers to increase their understanding of each other's roles and responsibilities.

The LACE (Looked After Children in Education) Project is a regional project which aims to improve the educational outcomes and experiences of looked after children and young people in Northern Ireland.

It is becoming increasingly evident that many children in the care system massively under achieve in education. There is a need for partnerships between agencies to improve the educational outcomes and experiences of looked after children.
