The Institute of Public Health in Ireland is holding a major conference on 'Action for Equity' on Tuesday 17 and Wednesday 18 October 2006 in the Four Seasons Hotel, Carlingford, Co Louth.The aim of this event is to stimulate debate and secure action on equity in health.

This will be achieved by:

* defining equity in health
* identifying effective action
* deciding on policies and approaches to improve equity
* committing to action and accountabilityA rich mix of plenary presentations, discussions, workshops, debate, drama and opportunities for networking.
