To mark the opening, Belfast City Council presents Look Up! Celebrate our City. From 12.00 noon to 7.00pm, City Hall will witness some examples of the talent and culture that Belfast’s community possesses in a wonderful showcase of music, dance and sport.

Look Up! Celebrate our City, officially opens Celebrate Belfast 2006. With over 500 events to come over the next 15 months, the sky is the limit for Belfast and all the communities involved in the coming year.
To mark the opening, Belfast City Council presents Look Up! Celebrate our City. From 12.00 noon to 7.00pm, City Hall will witness some examples of the talent and culture that Belfast’s community possesses in a wonderful showcase of music, dance and sport.
Don’t miss the once in a lifetime aerial spectacular that follows at 6.30pm. As night begins to fall on City Hall your imaginations will be lifted into the sky by a giant Heliosphere and trapeze acrobatics never before witnessed in Belfast. The street will be decorated and brought to life by the Vernisseurs and their foil, streamer antics.
Belfast will then be treated to the amazing Ramon Kelvink, who will walk over 50ft above the grounds with a death defying, mind blowing tight rope performance that you’re unlikely to ever see again!
