This popular training course outlines two methods for facilitating groups towards shared understanding and shared agreement - the Focused Conversation Method, and the Consensus Workshop Method. Within a safe learning environment participants will experience the methods, learn the theory behind them, and have the opportunity to practice facilitating with constructive feedback from the trainers.

Both of these methods are invaluable in working with groups in a range of settings, from formal meetings to visioning and planning for the future, and constructive conversations. Participants will also be able to develop their experience and skills in general facilitation. The methods have been used globally for more than 30 years, and the trainers have over 20 years experience of facilitating and training using these and other techniques across all of the sectors in Northern Ireland.

This course is being run under licence from ICA:UK, and forms part of the programme at the Groundwork NI Regeneration Resource Centre. It is, however open to participants from all sectors.
