Back by popular demand is Lisnaskea's Street Carnival Two.
Invitation to community, youth and schools groups to the carnival workshops.
The Carrowshee Park/Sylvan Hill in association with the Share Centre, Lisnaskea is getting ready for the town's Fool Time street carnival on 1 Apri 2006. The theme this year is Adventures!
In preparation, there are workshops scheduled that you and your group may want to take part in. All workshops will be held at the Share Centre. If you are adventurous enough to take part, we will train you in arts skills and then ask that you return to Lisnaskea to participate in the street carnival.
SAWDUST AND SEQUINS: 6-10 March
Carnival artist Heather Long returns to Share Centre for a week of carnival prop making workshops: banners, masks, hats and costumes. Monday – Friday 10.00am-12.00pm and 6.30-8.30pm.
PUPPETS SERVED WITH RICE: 13-16 March
Local artist Jarlath Rice will lead workshops in puppet making. These will be an important and lively part of the carnival. Monday to Thursday 10.00am-12.00pm and 6.30-8.30pm.
CIRCUS KNIGHTS: 27-31 March
Streetwise Circus will be here to teach stiltwalking, juggling and diablo. If you were at last year's carnival, you know how much fun the circus was. Expect the same this year. Monday to Friday 6.30-8.30pm
