'Managing Information with E-ase: Gaining confidence in e-communication and intranet development'
The seminar will look at 'e-communication' and the delivery of information to internal and external target groups. Helen Day, Project Consultant, Boots Group, UK, will give a presentation on how she transferred her information management skills from deploying end user services to developing and managing the Boots Group's Intranet, introducing portal technology and delivering personalised content to stores.
Following the formal presentation, John McCormick, Information Officer, NICVA will facilitate a workshop session on the practicalities of compiling and disseminating an e-newsletter.
Please email Claire Graham before 14 November 2005 if you would like to attend. As places are limited, they will be allocated on a first come basis.
About the venue
Clifton House, North Queen Street, Belfast is easily accessible and has good parking facilities. It was built in 1771 as a Poorhouse and Infirmary and though it has just undergone a complete refurbishment, the original facade and design of the building has been preserved. The seminar will be held in the Governors Room and delegates can view the artefacts on exhibition in the Interpretative Centre during the day.
The event has been organised by the Association of Information Managers (AIM) and sponsored by the Library and Information Services Council (NI).
