The Institute of Fundraising Northern Ireland is holding its annual training convention on 29 June 2006 at the Ramada Hotel, Shaws Bridge, Belfast. The convention’s theme is ‘A Fundraiser’s Toolbox’ and aims to offer a range of fundraising tools to help solve your fundraising problems. The convention is designed for fundraisers and those with responsibility for income generation from both voluntary organisations and community groups.
Jill Houston, Convention Chair.
This year the Institute has secured expert speakers from the voluntary, corporate and statutory sectors in Northern Ireland and throughout the UK. Topics to be covered will include:
• Innovative and creative thinking
• Kicking the addiction to grants
• Raising Core Funds
• Too many charities – too little difference?
• Who needs Peace III anyway?
The convention will also include a special awards ceremony for professional fundraisers and volunteers, limited bursaries for community groups, three key debates on some controversial fundraising issues and the presentation of the Nicola James Bursary.
