CENI's one day training course is designed to assist participants to ‘get the most’ out of external evaluation by ensuring that the process is well planned, appropriately managed and effectively used. The course will provide an overview of evaluation concepts. With an emphasis on practical issues participants are taken through various stages of commissioning external evaluation including: developing Terms of Reference, producing a commissioning document, recruiting a suitable Evaluator, drawing up a contract, managing the external evaluation process and utilising the report findings.
The course is particularly suited to managers and staff from community and voluntary organisations who are involved or responsible for external evaluation.
