This intensive workshop explores the techniques of sound recording, use of mixes, booming, mic select6ion, wild track and ambience. Participants will record sound in a team approach with everyone having an opportunity for hands on experience. The results will be analysed and discussed. Difficult sound recording situations and audio problems will be addressed.
Tutor David Kilpatrick * 6 participants *
David Kilpatrick is a location sound recordist and has worked on dramas, commercials and television projects, both local and international, such as ‘Dance Lexie Dance’ and ‘Miami Spice’. He started his career as a BBC radio producer and in the last two years has moved into television production, but still records sound on many of his own projects such as the series ‘A la Carte’ and ‘Fire Watch’.
