This session will explore how to effectively involve and support volunteers who have a disability, exploring different areas of disability such as sensory, physical, mental health and learning difficulty.
Topics covered will include:
• General good practice in diversity management;
• General awareness/introduction to a range of disabilities;
• Exploring barriers to volunteering for volunteers who have a disability;
• Practical tips to assist organisations to effectively involve disabled volunteers.
