This training course is back by popular demand. The aim of the course is to increase awareness of what human rights are and how they work, especially in relation to the Human Rights Act 1998.

What does the course involve

It consists of a half-day workshop taking place in Belfast and the North West. These workshops are at an introductory level and are intended for staff and volunteers in the community and voluntary sectors. No legal knowledge about human rights is needed.

What will the workshop cover?

The workshop will build on participants’ experience and explore:

  • what rights are
  • what is in the Human Rights Act 1998
  • how rights work when they are in conflict, and
  • how to deepen your knowledge of human rights.
