Do you want to brush up on your English?

This course gives you the skills to become a more effective volunteer or member of your community organisation while helping you brush up on your English.

It provides participants with the opportunity to gain a certificate in community development and a national qualification in literacy.

Groups are kept small (usually around five participants) so that all learners can be given plenty of individual attention and can work at their own pace. The course usually lasts 15 weeks but if the group would like it to be extended this can be arranged.

Participants can choose to focus on any or all of the following topics while working on their writing skills:

  1. community study
  2. communication and negotiation
  3. leadership
  4. fundraising
  5. community organisations.

Note: This course is free of charge and all materials are provided.
