This year The Open University is planning a series of events and online activities based on the television series ‘Coast’.

A third series is due to be broadcast this summer and it’s a great opportunity to engage people with the UK’s coastline, coastal and marine issues and science.

We are planning eight events throughout the UK this summer and (so far) these are likely to be in:

  • Cardiff,
  • Castle Espie near Belfast,
  • London,
  • Great Yarmouth,
  • Plymouth,
  • Sunderland,
  • Hull, and
  • Aberdeen.

What will happen at the event?

As part of these events we want to be able to promote local volunteering initiatives and groups to highlight local opportunities but also to show the important work that these groups do.

The events will also feature workshops for families and dialogue sessions about local coastal issues.
