PART A will give an update on social security, covering savings rules across means-tested benefits including Income Support, Pension Credit, Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance, Income-based Employment and Support Allowance and Housing Benefit. This will be of particular interest to solicitors or barristers advising on the impact of lump sum compensation payments from personal injuries on benefit entitlement and those seeking advice on the financial impact of going into residential care.
PART B will focus on an update on the benefits system's treatment of income and the benefits available on family breakdown.
