Big Telly Theatre Company is delighted to announce its Official Twentieth Birthday Production - Bog People
Imagine that the ground beneath our feet is haunted, and that layer upon layer hides a secret of lives already lived…. Inspired by Seamus Heaney’s Bog Poems, Bog People is a haunting, evocative sequence of stories about love, violence, mystery and memory, written by Lucy Caldwell, Nicola McCartney and Francis Turnly with music composed by Neil Martin.
Linked by landscape, the stories are set on a particularly significant piece of Bogland over several different time periods, and the audience becomes detective, piecing together the fragments of the past. Don’t miss this unique theatrical experience bringing together Big Telly’s reputation for dynamic, contemporary Irish Classics, The Playboy of the Western World, The Country Boy with its highly original and accessible approach to new work The Little Mermaid so far seen by 30,000 people in swimming pools across the world.
