Workshop Aim: To assist voluntary sector employers seeking to develop a strategy for the promotion of race equality in the workplace.

Learning Objectives: By the end of the workshop participants should have:

1. Become aware of the responsibilities placed on employers under the Race Relations (NI) Order 1997.

2. Considered recommended best practice in relation to key areas such as Recruitment & Selection, Communication & Language, Working Environment and Race Equality Monitoring

3. Examined an implementation plan outlining the main steps to consider when developing a race equality employment strategy.
