Rural Community Network will be running a Corporate Governance Seminar on 22 March 2007 from 9.30am to 4.30pm in the Glenavon House Hotel, Cookstown.
Issues covered in the seminar include:
• What is corporate governance?
• Board of Directors – Roles and Responsibilities
• Internal control procedures
• Risk management
• Audit Responsibilities
The seminar will be taken by PricewaterhouseCoopers and will include workshops around case studies. A question and answer session will also be incorporated into the day. The seminar is free of charge and will be of specific interest to community groups who are Companies Limited by Guarantee or are considering the move to such a structure. Rural community groups who have an interest in corporate governance will also benefit from this seminar. Places are limited so early booking is advisable.
