Dr Copleton is Senior Careers Adviser in Queen's University Belfast.
In July 2007 Dr Copleton will be travelling to the USA to examine a number of initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life of older people.
Prior to his departure, Dr Copleton will facilitate this seminar at the Institute of Governance.
This free seminar will include a presentation of his research on the relationship between self determination and well being in older people.
The seminar will be participative in nature and is seen as an opportunity for people to establish links with other people working in the area of ageing. Dr Copelton’s visit to the USA will provide an excellent opportunity for forging links with groups in Northern Ireland and people will be encouraged to share their own experiences/interests.
