More than a helpline, for many it's a lifeline

Having examined the progress of the last 10 years, the conference will then lookat three groups of women who may experience barriers to seeking help.

Monica Wilson, Director of Disability Action will speak about women with disabilities; Anca Adams, Lingusitic Minorities Development Worker at the Mulit-Cultural Resource Centre will speak about women from minority ethnic communities and Mary McCann, Fermanagh Women's Aid will speaking about women from rural communities.

The conference features a session examining how Women's Aid can develop services to women experiencing these barriers and a closing address from Monica McWilliams, Chief Commissioner of the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission.
