The Community Development and Health Network has organised a key networking event which will include the following workshops:

  • Health and Social Care Councils - following the Review of Public Administration, the four Health and Social Services Councils will be replaced by one Regional Patient Client Council (PCC). The existing Councils will discuss how the PCC should operate and meet the needs of patients, clients and communities in the future.
  • Community planning update - CDHN will talk about its template for how community planning should look so that it benefits people using community development approaches to tackling health inequalities.
  • HSS Trust Community Development Managers - discussion about how community development approaches to health will be mainstreamed and supported under the new RPA arrangements to ensure the progress of the last five years is not lost.
  • Community development and health - making the link - an introductory workshop on how to use a community development approach to tackling health inequalities.
