Event
Organisations are increasingly required to build in outcome monitoring and evaluation systems, which place importance on identifying and measuring the benefits gained from project activities. This course is aimed at increasing knowledge and understanding of evaluating outcomes.
Course objectives:
•To increase participants’ awareness of outcomes and their importance within the current funding environment
•To increase understanding of the benefits as well as some of the difficulties with evaluating outcomes
•To raise awareness of different models for evaluating outcomes
•To enable participants to identify outcomes within their own work
•To increase understanding of outcomes measurement issues including identification of quantitative and qualitative indicators
•To enable participants to identify appropriate data collection tools for capturing outcomes within their work
•To raise awareness of the process of analysing, interpreting and using the information
•To encourage good practice in the evaluation of outcomes
