Event
In the coming months, Help the Aged in partnership with Action on Elder Abuse will be embarking upon a campaign to highlight elder abuse.
Thousands of older people are being abused in Northern Ireland every day. The abuse can be physical. It may be psychological. Sometimes it is financial, sexual or comes as a result of neglect. Horrifically, it can take the form of a combination of any of these.
Help the Aged is inviting older people, sector colleagues and interested parties to the North West Meeting of the 'Help Stop Elder Abuse' campaign in St Columbs Park House, 4 Limavady Road, Waterside, Derry City.
The event will be on 19 May 2006 and refreshments will be available.
Delegates will have the opportunity to find out more about the issue of Elder Abuse and how they can get involved in the campaign.
