Speechmatters and Vodafone NI are delighted to announce the Love to Talk gala ball extravaganza on Friday 17 February in the Europa Hotel, Belfast.

Hosted by BBC Newsline's Noel Thompson, along with celebrity guests, 450 people, including many business leaders, will enjoy a gourmet dinner, followed by cabaret with Castleward Opera, comedy with Gene Fitzpatrick, and dancing to the live, world famous band Hot Chocolate!

AUCTION

The evening's grand auction includes an original painting by Rita Duffy as well as a Platinum package to Lapland among other prizes.

This is Hot Chocolate's first gig in Northern Ireland since the days of disco and an exclusive opportunity to get up close to one of the world's most famous pop bands.

RAISING FUNDS FOR APHASIA

An estimated 50K will be raised in aid Speechmatters - a local charity, providing vital services to people living with Aphasia, their carers and families. Aphasia is a devastating communication disability resulting from a stroke or head injury - when the word you are trying to find is always on the tip of your tongue!

Jackie White CEO of Speechmatters explains, "Would you believe that the biggest issue facing people with Aphasia is that the public at large have little or no understanding of their disability? Events like the Love to Talk Gala Ball are crucial in both raising awareness of Aphasia and raising vital funds for the Charity.

"In staging this event we are delighted to work in partnership with global communications giant Vodafone. Our ongoing partnership is a superb way of unlocking the synergy between a charity supporting those people who have lost the ability to communicate and Vodafone as a world wide communications giant."

AWARD WINNING PARTNERSHIP

Vodafone NI has been working in partnership with Speechmatters for three years and in recognition of their support for Speechmatters, they won the NICVA Link Award for Challenge (NI Charity 'Oscar') in 2005.

The event is also being supported by Peugeot.
