Would you like the chance to talk to the politicians standing in the upcoming elections?
They are going to be representing your interests - but how much do the politicians actually know about the issues facing you and your community?
And how much do you know about their policies?
This is your chance to meet the future political leaders, to find out what their policies are about, and how best you get your interests represented, and far more.
Women Into Politics' Election Specials provide a forum for women across the divide and from all cultural traditions to come together to engage in dialogue with each other and with candidates from ALL political parties standing for election. In the past these events have been very successful in terms of quality of dialogue and discussion and in terms of response from civic society. Pre-Election Specials have proved to be very important tools to bridge the gap between politicians and women from grass roots communities. These events enhance the political awareness of participants and address issues around gender representation and citizenship.
