An exciting programme of events for young people

Specifically dedicated to 14 to 17 year olds, the Instinct Young People's Festival will take place at a variety of cultural centres throughout Derry from 11 to 18 February 2005. The festival will provide a unique opportunity for local youth to have fun together while exploring the creative industries and multimedia art.
A committee of young people have been meeting at the Nerve Centre since September, using their "Instinct" to determine a variety of workshops, screenings, master-classes, live music events and other activities to cater for all tastes of local teenagers. The festival, branded "Instinct" by the committee, will provide a week long series of events and opportunities to develop the creative potential of young people. The festival is exclusive to the city that it is designed and created for youth by youth.
This will be the second festival of what is hoped will become an annual event showing commitment to the 14-17year age group. For further information contact Shauna McNeilly.
