The Parents Advice Centre is running an innovative half day programme, Parenting Apart, aimed at parents who are separating or divorcing or those who have already separated or divorced.
Divorce and separation is not a single event but a process. This workshop will explore the emotional process of divorce: consider what the children need to know and support participants to deal with the questions and situations raised in the aftermath of a separation.
Parenting Apart aims to give parents in this situation a basic guide to the emotional divorce and to provide practical advice on what to tell the children, what not to do and say and where, when and how to get help.
The programme takes place on February 17 2007 from 10.00am to 1.00pm at the City Hotel. Costs £15 per person.
