The Parents Advice Centre is running a free 6 week parenting programme called Handling Teenagers for parents of teenagers.
The course begins on January 16 from 7.00pm to 9.00 pm at the Ballykeel Community Centre, Crebally Road, Ballymena. The programme is open to any interested parent, step parent, foster parent, grandparent. Participants must have a sense of humour, be willing to try out stuff at home and open to the possibility of actually enjoying their teenagers. The course explores practical issues such as managing conflict, communication skills, problem solving and why it is good practice for parents to take care of themselves.

This course has been funded by the Antrim and Ballymena Social Care Group and will be repeated in Ballymena North Community and Business Centre, Dunclug from 21 February at 7.00pm until 28 March 2007.
