Many of the young people we work with have missed out on the opportunity to ‘play’ when they were younger and this is even less likely when they are older.
However many practitioners working with young people are well placed to provide a safe environment and the space for young people to realise their right to leisure, play, recreation, culture and the arts.
This workshop will include sessions on Shadow Puppetry, Garageband, Animation and Drama.
Shadow Puppetry is a method of story telling that is highly visual but can be as simple or elaborate as you choose to make it.
Garageband is a new and exciting music production software suite. It covers a broad section of digital music production, from musical scoring & AV editing to creating dance music and sound recording. During this workshop participants will learn how to operate Garageband and create a basic music sequence in their chosen genre.
During the Animation workshop participants will learn basic animation skills using clay-mation and pixilation, using a digital stills camera and tripod and will learn to create individual models and create a set.
