Menopause Together Ltd

Menopause Together is a newly registered charity (May 2023) inspired, created, lead and developed by, and for, women experiencing the impact of peri-menopause and menopause on their lives. We are entirely volunteer lead, and since 2020, have run a private Facebook group for women across NI who are on their menopause journey offering information, signposting and peer support; we have also been delivering conferences, workshops and support groups across NI. To date more than 8000 local women have been part of this online and in-person community.

As women with lived experience of peri-menopause and menopause, and through noticing repeated patterns of poor menopause experiences for many women, we wanted to create an environment in NI where women, and those responsible for their treatment and care are better educated and informed about this stage of their lives and to create better public awareness of the issues associated with menopause to ensure that when menopause occurs, women's lives as they knew them do not have to stop.

Through our work, we aim to bring a cohesive programme of education, awareness and support to women in NI who are living with the often, life-changing, impact of menopause on their lives and to bring positive impact through empowering and educating women; strengthening our online and real-life communities where women can share, support and empower each other, and through building greater public awareness we can ensure that women are supported across all areas of their lives.
